The Polerouter is also coveted for being a G\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eérald Genta design and at only 24 years old at the time, it is considered his first great contribution to horology. Genta would go on to design two of the most iconic pieces of the 20th century with the Nautilus and Royal Oak and more. Today, collectors are coveting the Polerouter as much as ever with the recent release of the Polerouter book in late '23. It was also around this time that the news of Breitling acquiring UG broke, which many collectors hope will further invigorate appreciation for the brand with its re-inception. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis example features a gold capped case with interesting brushed silver dial that's split by different brushing in four quadrants giving it interesting dimension. It houses a high-grade UG micro-rotor cal. 69 Overall, it has remained in fantastic vintage condition with all tritium plots still present and minimal wear on the dial. The case has thick, even lugs and sharp chamfers. The serial\/ref. numbers are still visible under a loupe which is very desirable for UG collectors. The crystal is correct and signed UG and the crown is a service replacement.
