The Patek Philippe Calatrava stands as a testament to one of the most esteemed watch designs from the 20th century, with its origins dating back to the 1930s, commencing with the iconic ref. 96. Introduced in the mid 50's, the ref. 2545 featured the same incredible case architecture with a waterproof screw back and slightly boosted proportions at 31.5mm, making it well suited for small to medium wrists. 

On offer is a beautiful example, circa '62 in yellow gold with classic silver dial, featuring lapped markers and dauphine hands. This piece comes from a friend of CCNY who purchased it directly from the son of the original owner, making it a rare opportunity acquire a fresh to market example. It has remained in stunning vintage condition with an untouched dial showing crisp raised enamel and tight pearling - a condition level that is very difficult to come by today. The case is also fantastic with thick, evenly proportioned lugs with hallmarks still visible. For the discerning collector, this example is accompanied by its correct inner and outer boxes, 18k Patek Philippe signed pin buckle and archive papers confirming its production and sale details. Dial: Has remained in stunning vintage condition, remaining untouched, showing crisp raised enamel and tight pearling - a condition level that is very difficult to come by today.

Hands: Are matching and nicely preserved.

Bezel: Light signs of use with no notable wear.

Case: Appears very well-preserved with thick and even lugs. The hallmarks are still clearly visible. Light signs of use overall with nice rosy patina throughout. Correct signed crown.

Crystal: Clear.

Bracelet: 18k yellow gold PP pin buckle and two piece lizard strap in beige.

Accessories: Inner and outer boxes, archive papers, 18k PP signed pin buckle.
