First released in the 70s, the Santos Carrée was Cartier's attempt to offer an accessible sport watch in both two tone (ref. 2961) and in steel (ref. 2960). At 29mm, the Carrée (square in French), case is perfectly sized to be the perfect blend of elegance and sporty. One might argue that today, more than ever, this model is the Rolex Datejust of Cartier. This piece boasts an excellent dial, strong looking case/bezel and bracelet. If you've been hunting for a great example, look no further!
Dial: Excellent overall. There is no crazing in the lacquer which is difficult to find in Cartier dials of this era.
Bezel: Light signs of use. There are some small marks but nothing distracting. Lots of mass left with full and square dimensions.
Hands: Are matching.
Case: Strong with nice looking chamfers. The lugs are thick and even. Correct crown.
Bracelet: Remains extremely tight and sharp. Will fit an approximate 7 inch wrist.
Crystal: Clear.
Accessories: Authentic Cartier service pouch for storage and travel.
The movement is running well on our timegrapher and comes with our 6-month mechanical warranty.
