The Carrera was introduced in 1963 by Jack Heuer and saw many iterations throughout its production run. Notably, the model's focus was for automobile racing and featured a highly legible chronograph layout designed for timing land speeds. Today it is one of the brands most celebrated designs (now Tag Heuer) for its extensive racing pedigree and use with household names from Mario Andretti to Niki Lauda. 

On offer is a very rare and early Carrera racing chronograph ref. 3647NT, circa '63. It houses a sporty black dial and a Heuer/Leonidas signed Valjoux 92 caliber. This piece has remained in fantastic vintage condition with a near mint dial that shows all of its luminous plots fully intact with warm patina. The case is equally stunning and appears completely untouched, making this a true standout example from the pack. For anyone looking for the charm of a vintage chronograph with some added rarity, this black Carrera with tachyring is one of the most seldom seen models in the line and is just a joy to behold on wrist.
