The Patek Philippe Calatrava stands as a testament to one of the most esteemed watch designs from the 20th century, with its origins dating back to the 1930s, commencing with the iconic ref. 96. Today it remains what most collectors consider to be the archetype of a time-only dress watch. 

On offer is a ref. 3820 with 18k pink gold case, featuring "teardrop"lugs. Most notably, it houses stunning brushed silver dial with raised Breguet numerals and Breguet-style hands. Many fans of Patek will find these numerals to be one of the finest additions to a reference. However, their prices can push up dramatically depending on the era. One could argue this ref. is a great relative value considering where older Breguet dials can trade. They really do have a special aura and are a detail that's reserved for select references which were typically produced in fewer quantities. This example has remained in excellent vintage condition. The dial has a touch of wear by 11 o-clock but thankfully it is on the outer edge and not distracting. The case is equally impressive with deep, crisp hallmarks and appears untouched. It comes accompanied by an 18k PP pin buckle, correct 18k spring bars and PP strap in glossy brown gator. An archive extract is on order and will be provided to the new custodian. 

Dial: There is a touch of aging near 11 o-clock but thankfully it is on the outer edge and not distracting. Overall, fantastic for its age with tight pearling and no other notable wear. Hands: Are matching and well-preserved. Case: Excellent and appears unpolished with thick, evenly proportioned lugs and no distracting wear. The hallmarks remain deep and crisp. Correct signed crown. Crystal: Clear. Bracelet: 18k Patek Philippe pin buckle and Patek Philippe strap in glossy brown gator. Accessories: An archive extract has been ordered and will be provided to the new custodian. The movement is running well on our timegrapher and comes with our 6-month mechanical warranty.
