What makes this timepiece particularly special is its platinum "officers" style case. While the ref. 5022 was primarily produced in yellow, white, and rose gold, platinum examples were made in far smaller numbers and are rarely seen today. Combined with its black hobnail/guilloché dial, applied Roman numerals, and small seconds display, it offers a more formal and distinctive character than most Calatravas of the era. The richly textured dial adds depth and contrast, with applied white gold numerals, matching hands, and a recessed small seconds register creating a balanced, highly legible design. This piece is preserved in stunning neo-vintage condition with only light signs of use and deep, crisp hallmarks. The watch is further accompanied by its original open warranty papers—an increasingly desirable detail for the most discerning collectors.
