The Tudor Big Block marked a major milestone for the brand as the first self-winding chronograph produced under the Wilsdorf umbrella, arriving nearly a decade before the venerable Rolex Daytona ref. 16520. For anyone with medium to larger sized wrists, the 40mm case is chunkier at 14.5mm in height and makes for a great off the beaten path choice for anyone looking for a high quality vintage chronograph.

This particular example, circa '94 features a silver dial with black sub-registers and steel bezel. It has remained in stunning neo-vintage condition and appears completely untouched throughout. The dial is mint, showing no lume loss whatsoever. The bezel shows light swirling but remains sharp and unpolished. The case is also extremely sharp with light wear. It retains a correct 78400 with W4 date code and correct 589 end links. It remains tight, retaining 12 links and will fit an approximate 7.5 inch wrist. 

Dial: Absolutely stunning and mint with highly attractive "buttermilk" colored tritium plots. All of the lume is clean. Bezel insert: Appears unpolished with light swirls. Hands: Are matching and their lume is stable. Case: Appears completely unpolished with thick, even lugs and sharp edges. Honest but signs of use. Correct signed pushers and signed crown. Bracelet: Correct Tudor signed 78400/589 with 12 links, W4 date code and appears unpolished. It remains tight fitting an approximate 7.5 inch wrist. Crystal: Clear.
