One of the oldest watchmaking companies, Vacheron was founded in 1755 in Geneva, Switzerland. As part of the "Holy Trinity," along with Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, VC is known for their high-quality and unique design language. Even today, however, the brand remains relatively under-appreciated considering their significant contribution to horology.

On offer is a rare "Tank" style dress watch, housed in 14k yellow gold, circa 1940s. This piece offers a number of interesting attributes. It features a sector dial with raised enamel for its various sections, dial signature as well as Arabic numerals at 12, 3 and 9 o-clock. It also has sub-seconds at the bottom. The case is equally interesting with sculpted geometric shapes and a curved caseback for a more ergonomic fit on wrist. All of this adds up to a highly unique looking and seldom seen conversation piece. It has remained in lovely vintage condition to boot and would be a great option for anyone who appreciates an off the beaten path find. 

Dial: Fantastic for its age with minimal wear and nothing distracting. All of the raised enamel is prominent suggesting minimal, if any signs of cleaning. Hands: Are matching. Case: Light signs of use overall. The lugs remain thick and even with hallmarks still present. Unsigned crown. Bracelet: Glossy gator strap in burgundy with generic buckle. Crystal: Clear.
