Vintage enthusiasts know the word rare gets thrown around all too often but when it comes to Tudor rangers, it is only fitting. These watches are very difficult to come by and finding a great example is something truly special. This reference 7996/0 is circa 1966 and features a ‘roulette’ date wheel which alternates from black to red. From the minty dial to sharp case, this watch is worthy of any collection and we look forward to finding it the right home.
CONDITION REPORT
Dial: Phenomenally well-preserved. There are no notable blemishes to point to under magnification. All of the tritium has remained stable and aged evenly.
Bezel: Very good shape and appears unpolished.
Hands: Are correct for the model. They contain all of their tritium lume which has aged into an attractive and consistent patina. The hands match each other and that of the tritium on the dial.
Case: Very sharp and appears unpolished. The lugs are thick and even. Moderate and honest signs of use. Engraving on the steel caseback is crisp and clear. Correct signed crown.
Bracelet: Is a seldom seen stretch rivet variant. Correct for the reference dating to 7-67. Remains in excellent condition.
Crystal: Clear.
