An excellent example of the Benrus "3 Star" circa 1950s. Features include a stainless steel caseback and a chrome plated case that could be described as a "survivor." The horned lugs are an elegant touch but the caramel colored tropical dial on this piece has to be one of the best we've come across in quite a while.

CONDITION REPORT

Dial: A remarkable example of what tropicalization can look like. The aging is very even and beautiful and has consistency with regards to lighter and darker portions of brown hue. The lume plots on the dial remain intact.

Hands: Are correct for the reference. They contain all of their radium lume which has aged very evenly.

Case: The chrome plated portions is in excellent shape and doesn’t appear to have been polished previously. The lugs are thick and even. Light and honest throughout. Engraving on the steel caseback is crisp and clear. Correct signed crown.

Crystal: Clear.
