Credited with what we know as the modern dive watch, their now iconic Fifty-Fathoms just celebrated its 70th anniversary, having been released the same year as the Rolex Submariner in 1953. Although Blancpain might not be the first name to come to mind for many, the brand is seeing more deserved attention as collectors unpack their fantastic contribution to the world of horology. 

This later iteration of the Fifty Fathoms is a fantastic modern dive watch for a multitude of reasons. It features an incredible deep blue sunburst dial and ceramic bezel that's truly captivating on wrist. This is all housed in a perfectly sized 38mm case with display back to show off the brands' caliber 1150 movement that boasts an impressive 100-hour power reserve.
