Breguet is a renowned Swiss luxury watchmaker with a rich history that dates back over two centuries. The brand was founded in 1775 by Abraham-Louis Breguet, a watchmaker of great significance in the horological world. One of Breguet's most impactful contributions to horology was the invention of the tourbillon - a mechanism that compensates for errors in timekeeping caused by gravity's effects on the movement of the watch. Breguet patented the tourbillon in 1801, and it remains a highly regarded and sought-after complication in mechanical watches to this day. He is also credited with devising the wrist watch, inventing self-winding movements, balance springs, Breguet hands, numerals and guilloche. 

On offer is a rare Classique reference which houses the high quality Breguet automatic caliber 71. The case is impressively thin at just 5mm with a width of 31.5mm. This is ample for smaller to medium sized wrists and we believe these smaller models ooze elegance and classic watchmaking. On the condition front this example has remained in stunning vintage condition with a mint dial and unpolished case. Thankfully this piece still retains its correct buckle and is ready to be appreciated by the next collector for many years to come.
