When we think of mechanical alarm watches, most think of the Vulcan Cricket, but many brands produced this useful complication. You can search long and far for a feature more fun and endearing than the vibrating buzzer to remind you it’s time to hit the gym, or wake up from an afternoon nap. This 1960’s Bulova Wrist Alarm is one of the finest executions of this complication. It features Bulova’s Cal. 11 AERC housed in a waterproof 34mm case and this example looks like it hasn’t seen much life outside the box it came in. If your collection is built on condition, you don’t want to miss this opportunity.

Condition

Nearly immaculate dial - there is a touch of aging on the very outer edges but it is not distracting. The hands are correct for the reference showing all of their lume and a beautiful patina to match the indices on the dial. Two period correct crowns mounted to an unblemished and very sharp case. Period-correct box, strap and hang tag complete the package. The movement was serviced by our watchmaker and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
