François Czapek, the founder of Czapek & Cie, initially partnered with Antoine Norbert de Patek, co-founder of Patek Philippe, collaborating for 6 years before they parted ways in 1845. This lead Czapek to establish his own brand. Despite the separation, Czapek's legacy endured, and Czapek & Cie was revived in 2012. Today, Czapek watches honor their early roots and maintain a close connection with Patek Philippe, drawing inspiration from their historical collaboration while incorporating contemporary design and manufacturing techniques. This unique link between Czapek and Patek Philippe adds significance and intrigue, making Czapek a captivating choice for watch enthusiasts valuing both Czapek's heritage and Patek Philippe's revered reputation. 

The Chapek Antactique S features a signature "Stairway to Eternity" dial - a stunning three dimensional motif that plays with light and shadow across the facade of the watch. The integrated bracelet features brushed and polished surfaces that are "C" shaped to stand for the brand's name. Both the steel bracelet and supplied rubber straps are easily and quickly interchangeable with the strap tool. Powering this piece is their SXH5.01, a magnificent display back caliber that features a platinum micro-rotor. It is the first in house movement developed by the brand and provides 60 hours of power reserve. This caliber is not only highly accurate but features brilliant design for more user visibility into its inner workings. This movement is much more advanced than the average high end sports watch. Perhaps most importantly, the Antarctique S updates the previous iterations case size from 40.5mm down to a more elegant 38.5mm, welcomed as a major improvement over the previous version.

This watch has a many-year waiting list (meaning getting one at retail is very unlikely), and the watch on offer is one of the first to come available on the open market. Offered complete with all inner/outer boxes, warranty papers, booklets and tools. This piece even comes with a limited edition and hand numbered Czapek catalog.
