The "Aqua Lung” logo on a watch references the historic partnership with the pioneering diving equipment company founded by Jacques Cousteau and Émile Gagnan, inventors of the first “Aqua-Lung” open-circuit scuba regulator in 1943. Offered here is an even more unusual example: a documented factory prototype produced outside of the numbered commercial run. Unlike standard production models, which feature an orange minute hand, this watch retains a fully black handset configuration alongside subtle lume variations throughout the dial and hands, reflecting its development-phase origins.
