Eberhard & Co. "Royal Oak" - Very Rare - 1970s
- Unit price
- /per
Eberhard is a brand we don't often see or hear much about in the collecting community. They're perhaps best known for having built quality watches in small quantities with their own unique spin.
This particular example is clearly an homage to the AP Royal Oak. The design DNA is of course evident but Eberhard made it more playful with the contrasting pop of an orange second hand. We believe this to be a very rare watch and a great option for someone who may have been interested in the Bulova "Royal Oak" homages which have grown immensely in popularity in the past few years. While the Bulova cousins are quite seldom seen in and of themselves, the Eberhard here seems even more elusive from what we've come to find.
CONDITION REPORT
Dial: There is some lume missing, particularly at the 10 o-clock marker but it is not distracting due to it being on the outer edge. Overall preservation of the dial is very clean.
Bezel: Signs of use consistent with age.
Hands: No issues. Tritium lume is all present and has aged nicely.
Case: Some signs of use but they are very minimal and there are no notable scratches or dings. Correct signed crown.
Bracelet: Very tight and will fit between a 6.5 - 7.5 inch wrist using the micro adjustment on the clasp.
Crystal: Small crack at noon but it is on the far outer edge so not distracting for view of the dial.
