Hamilton Military - GG-W-113 w/Provenance - 1984
- Unit price
- /per
This watch came to us from a private collection of a United States military veteran of over 30 years who was deployed in Iraq, stationed at the Pentagon and the Department of Defense. He wears the Combat Action Badge, and The Parachutist Badge amongst others. His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal and a Purple Heart; a career which took him around the globe, all the while he collected watches and took great care to keep them in excellent shape.
Issued in April of 1984, this particular GG-W-113 is a rare variant because of the screw style caseback it features. Most Hamiltons built in that specification were front loading movements (similar to many Benrus military watches). This is a true piece of military history and we look forward to passing it on to the next collector.
Condition
The dial is excellent with no blemishes whatsoever. The hands are glowing blue instead of green under UV light (From our understanding the hands of these watches were produced in a different factory than the dials and can sometimes have a different mixture of tritium). In the worst case one could call them service hands or NOS hands but they appear correct for the reference. The case shows very little signs of use and remains sharp. Correct signed crown. The movement was serviced and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
Product Specifications
• 33mm case, 18mm lug width
• Manual wind ETA 2750, (Hacking, 17 jewels)
• Acrylic crystal, clear
• Fantastic preservation of the matte black dial and well-preserved hands
