A simple time-only dress watch is almost a must for every collection and few brands execute it as well as Jaeger LeCoultre, often referred to as “the watchmaker’s watch.” This Ultra-Thin example in 18k yellow gold comes from the European market as a complete set, down to the signed leather strap. The papers indicate it was first sold in 1979.

This watch came to us from a private collection of a United States military veteran of over 30 years who was deployed in Iraq, stationed at the Pentagon and the Department of Defense. He wears the Combat Action Badge, and The Parachutist Badge amongst others. His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal and a Purple Heart; a career which took him around the globe, all the while he collected watches and took great care to keep them in excellent shape.

CONDITION REPORT

Dial: Looks pristine and phenomenally well-preserved. There are no notable blemishes to point to.

Hands: Are correct for the reference.

Case: Very sharp and appears unpolished. The lugs are thick and even. Very light and honest throughout. Correct signed crown.

Crystal: Clear.
