This is one of several watches from the private collection of a United States military veteran of 31 years who was deployed in Iraq and ultimately stationed as a Senior Military Representative at the Pentagon. His merits include the Bronze Star Medal and a Purple Heart, among many others; a career which took him around the globe, all the while he collected watches and took great care to keep them in perfect condition. Some watches he picked up at flea markets, some were gifts from other soldiers.

Issued in June of 1990, this Gulf War era Marathon/Gallet is affectionately referred to by collectors as "The Lost Marathon." These pieces are some of the few models that were produced in collaboration with Marathon and Gallet (the ADANAC among other notable ones). We love the lightweight and stealth resin case design as well as large H3 and radiation symbol to show use of tritium for its lume. Dial: Excellent overall with beautiful tritum patina and all plots still present. Interestingly, the dial and hands have darkened up since this watch was acquired several years ago. Hands: Are matching and all of their lume is stable. Case: Normal signs of use consistent with age. Correct unsigned crown. Bracelet: Correct single pass style strap in black. Crystal: There are some light scratches but no cracks. They could always be buffed off but we prefer to leave the history there. Accessories: NA The movement is running well on our timegrapher.
