The MB&F M.A.D.1S Purple Limited Edition is a bold and unconventional timepiece that marks a departure from the brand's traditional high-end offerings. Introduced in 2024 as a limited run, this model was initially exclusive to MB&F's community of suppliers and collectors. This newer "S" model (standing for "slim") is desirable for collectors due to its thinner case profile which comes down to just 15mm, wearing more ergonomically. It features the same 42mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal on top and mineral glass on the sides, offering a unique aesthetic. This model also features an updated La Joux-Perret cal. G101 movement with triple-blade rotor—crafted from titanium and tungsten and highlighted with luminous accents—to be prominently displayed at the top of the watch. The time is read via a rotating hour ring in blue and a minute ring in black, both with luminous numerals, visible through a sapphire window at 6 o'clock. This design not only showcases MB&F's commitment to creativity but also provides an accessible entry point into the world of mechanical art. Out of all the M.A.D.1 offerings, this purple is our favorite and this set comes as a complete kit with only the lightest signs of use.
