Nivada Grenchen is a Swiss brand that was founded in 1926 and arguably saw most of its success in the 1950s and 60s. Today, their vintage pieces like the Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver and Antarctic are amongst their most celebrated and more recently have been highlighted with a revival of the brand. Some of our favorite, all be it obscure pieces are their Travelmaster alarms which of course competed with the highly successful Vulcain Cricket alarms of the period. The Travelmasters are now a true rarity to come across and happen to be some of the most interesting alarm watches we've been able to find yet.

This example features a be World Time/GMT bezel with stunning copper toned accents. The silver/white dial offers a nice contrast for the pop of the red alarm hand and the surrounding black bezel. The watch appears completely unpolished and in just lovely condition overall. We know it will make for the perfect travel companion on its next custodian's wrist!

Dial: Fantastic with only minimal wear. There are a few light age spots near the center but not distracting to the naked eye. All of the tritium plots are present. Bezel: Phenomenal preservation with only light signs of use consistent with the rest of the watch. Hands: Are matching. All of their lume is stabile. Case: Very clean and light signs of use. Appears completely unpolished with very sharp edges. Etchings on back are still deep and clearly visible. Correct signed crowns. Crystal: Clear. Accessories: Two piece leather strap from Delugs in orange. All functions of the watch operate flawlessly. The movement is running well on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
