The Omega Seamaster 300 holds an important place on the list of iconic dive watches of the 1950s and 60s, or what many consider to be the "golden era" of tool watches. The ref. 165.024 is undoubtedly one of the most desirable vintage pieces Omega produced and is coveted today for its brutalist design and well-documented military history in certain batches of production. Their charming aging and patina makes it easy to understand why collectors have come to covet these divers so much. 

Not all variants of this ref. had the distinctive "sword" hour hand (shared by the highly desirable Rolex "MilSub") or "big triangle" marker at 12 o'clock, but this particular example boasts both of these distinctive and desirable features, which were initially intended to add legibility under high-stress situations such as military use. This example has remained in excellent vintage condition with beautifully preserved dial and hands as well as sharp looking case and bracelet. Adding to its provenance is an Archive Extract from Omega confirming its production on August 2nd, 1967 and delivery to the UK. We couldn't be more thrilled to offer this charming and collector-grade piece to its next custodian. 

Dial: Fantastic preservation overall. The tritium lume has aged to a beautiful warm "khaki" patina which matches the hands nicely. No notable blemished under magnification or distracting wear. Bezel insert: Excellent with no cracks. Beautiful patina throughout. Hands: Are matching and all of their lume is clean and stable. Case: The lugs remain sharp, thick and evenly proportioned. Honest signs of use consistent with age. Correct signed crown. Bracelet: Correct Omega 1039 flat-link stretch bracelet is dated 4/67 and displays light stretch. Will fit an approximate 7 inch wrist. Crystal: Is clear and signed Omega. Accessories: Archive Extract confirming its provenance. The movement is running well on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
