The Patek Philippe Calatrava stands as a testament to one of the most esteemed watch designs from the 20th century, with its origins dating back to the 1930s, commencing with the iconic ref. 96. Today it remains what most collectors consider to be the archetype of a time-only dress watch. 

On offer is a a rare Calatrava ref. 3569 housed in white gold, circa '70. This is a seldom seen find for its gorgeous hammered finish dial/bezel as well as its rare backwinding movement. It houses a high-grade caliber 1-350 and at 35mm is well suited for small to medium sized wrists. This example has remained in excellent vintage condition. The hammered dial offers fantastic artisanal character and is very well preserved with no notable wear under magnification. Interestingly, the black painted raised indices have faded to an attractive blue, matching the hands. The case shows thick, evenly proportioned lugs with nicely preserved edges. There is a crisp hallmark on the caseback. For the discerning collector this example comes with a recent archive extract.
