The Patek Philippe Calatrava stands as a testament to one of the most esteemed watch designs from the 20th century, with its origins dating back to the 1930s, commencing with the iconic ref. 96. The 96 was not only the be first serially produced piece to receive its own reference, it would go on to influence dozens of other Calatrava style watches that shaped the brand's identity. It wasn't until 1985 that the ref. 3919 would come about and is arguably a crucial release for Patek having come post quartz crisis. This updated model drew further inspiration from the 1930s with its distinctive hobnail bezel and is viewed by many collectors as a great value point in today's market.

The white lacquer dial is also mint and features a classic set of painted Roman numerals and a sub-seconds register.
