The Patek Philippe Calatrava stands as a testament to one of the most esteemed watch designs from the 20th century, with its origins dating back to the 1930s, commencing with the iconic ref. 96. The 96 was not only the be first serially produced piece to receive its own reference, it would go on to influence dozens of other Calatrava style watches that shaped the brand's identity. It wasn't until 1985 that the ref. 3919 would come about and is arguably a crucial release for Patek having come post quartz crisis. This ref. was further iterated on with the 5119 coming in '06 and was essentially the same design with boosted proportions to 36mm. Its distinctive hobnail bezel and Roman dial is viewed by many collectors as a modern classic and remains a great value point in today's market. 

On offer is a lovely example, ref. 5119G in 18k whit gold. The white lacquer dial is mint and features a sub-seconds register above 6 o-clock. The case remains in excellent pre-owned condition with light signs of use and deep, crisp hallmarks on its sides and back. This piece comes with its correct 18k PP pin buckle and PP signed strap in brown gator.
