The Patek Philippe Calatrava stands as a testament to one of the most esteemed watch designs from the 20th century, with its origins dating back to the 1930s, commencing with the iconic ref. 96. Introduced several years later, the ref. 570 featured the same incredible case architecture with boosted proportions at 35.5mm, making it better suited for medium to large sized wrists. 

On offer is a beautiful example, circa '61 in yellow gold with classic silvered dial, featuring lapped markers and dauphine hands. This piece remains in excellent vintage condition overall. The dial is fantastic with no notable wear, a strong raised enamel signature and tight pearling. The case remains strong with evenly proportioned lugs and hallmark still clearly visible. For the discerning collector, this example is accompanied by its correct inner and outer boxes, 18k AW signed pin buckle with 18k spring bars, extra Patek Philippe strap in glossy gator and archive papers confirming its production and sale details. 

Dial: Fantastic with no notable wear, a strong raised enamel signature and tight pearling. Hands: Are matching and nicely preserved. Case: Appears very well-preserved with thick and even lugs. The hallmarks are deep and crisp. Light signs of use overall. Correct signed crown. Crystal: Clear. Bracelet: Original 18k yellow gold PP pin buckle and brand new PP strap in glossy black gator. (The black PP strap that's mounted is satin black gator).
