The Ellipse was initially released in 1968 and to this day remains potentially the most unique design from Patek Philippe. Many iterations featured quartz, however some were produced with mechanical movements and today as the model becomes more appreciated in the collecting sphere, we believe these examples deserve the most attention. 

This particular Ellipse ref. 3545 is the "true Ellipse" being the horizontal variant. It features a highly elegant 33.5mm case width that's perfect for the average sized wrist. We could not pass up on this top condition example for its gorgeous unpolished case and florentine style bracelet which appears uncut. Most notably, the dial has taken on a phenomenal tropical patina that's evenly scattered. The dial was initially blue but today gives various shades of blue, purple and orange under various light conditions. This is truly unique find that we're confident will have staying power with its next custodian.
