The Explorer II "Polar" is finally getting the recognition it deserves as collectors are understanding its significance in the sport Rolex lineup. While it isn’t the only white dial sport model, it has the potential to stand as a highlight in any collection of tool watches for its crisp and clean appearance against an array of primarily black matte and glossy dials. This X serial example, circa 1991 features a beautiful mint dial with "light cream" tritium plots and hands. The case/bracelet remain extremely sharp and tight. Dial: Fantastic and mint with light creme tritium plots. All of the lume has aged cleanly and evenly. Bezel: Very sharp with all of the black enamel still intact in the numerals which is key for this model. Hands: Are matching and all of their tritium is full and stable. Case: Very sharp and likely unpolished with sharp chamfers and thick and even lugs. Correct signed crown. Bracelet: Has some scratches visible in photography but remains tight and in sharp condition. 11 links. Crystal: Clear.
