The now cult classic "Pepsi" GMT was initially designed as a pilots watch with its roots tied to Pan Am in the 1950s. Throughout the following decades, the notable red and blue insert provided ease of use for deciphering day/night in an alternate time-zone and remains in production to this day. 

This GMT Master II reference 16710 houses the Rolex caliber 3185 which was a slimmed down update to the previous caliber 3085. The trimmed down movement allowed for a slimmer case which is an absolute joy to wear. This era of GMTs has a unique blend of vintage case proportions, tritium dials/hands with the benefit and practicality of a sapphire crystal. This example has an stunningly beautiful faded insert where the red has faded to pink. Having an unpolished case/bracelet and the addition of papers make it a true collector-grade piece and a great opportunity to put a top-tier example in your collection. 

Dial: No blemishes to note of under magnification. Bezel insert: Fantastic preservation with no scuffs to point to. Extremely attractive and even fade. Hands: Are matching and their lume is all present. Case: Appears unpolished with thick and even lugs. The chamfers and lug holes are very sharp. Correct signed crown. Bracelet: Correct 78360.
