Fresh to market and coming directly from the original owner, this Submariner, circa 1973 is affectionately referred to by collectors as the "Red Sub" due to its red model text on the dial. Compared to the normal reference 1680's of the era these pieces have a special aura and have become very desirable in top condition. This example is a standout for its absolutely incredible dial condition and patina. The case just came back from a professional re-cut and now displays sharp chamfers. We could not be more thrilled to offer this knockout "Red Sub" to its next custodian and don't expect it to sit around! 

Dial: Absolutely stunning preservation and dare we say a 10/10 on the condition front. No notable blemishes under magnification. All of the tritium plots have taken on a gorgeous yellow/khaki patina. They remain full and devoid of any stains. Bezel insert: There are some scratches but displays normal and honest signs of use. It has taken on some beautiful navy/grey tones in various light conditions. The pip has aged perfectly to the dial lume and remains intact. Hands: The minute hand was professionally color matched. All of the three hands' lume is full and stable. Case: Has been expertly recut to bring its proportions back to a factory like appearance. The chamfers are extremely sharp and the lugs are thick and evenly proportioned. Correct signed crown. Bracelet: Is a later 93150 with 11 links and light stretch. Crystal: Clear. Accessories: Patina for the ages. The movement is running well on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
