This example reference 16800 is circa 1986 and comes from the first few years of "WGS" or "white gold surrounds" dial production when Rolex had transitioned out of the matte dial variants. The same goes for the introduction of the sapphire crystal into this reference. Dial: Fantastic preservation. All of the tritium indices have aged to a stunning and even color. The glossy dial is also beginning to matte out which is also evenly spread across its surface. No notable blemishes. Bezel insert: There are some light scuffs and normal signs of use consistent with age. The pip has aged nicely and matches the dial/hands. Hands: Are matching. There is a little bit of degredation in the minute hand but the tritium remains intact. It could be stabilized down the road. Case: Appears completely unpolished with sharp chamfers under magnification. The lugs are thick and evenly proportioned. Correct signed crown. Bracelet: Correct 93150 with 11 links and light stretch. Crystal: Clear. Accessories: Bragging rights to one of the most attractively aged subs we've laid eyes on.
