Vintage Seiko has a deeply passionate fan base from entry-level to even the most experienced collectors. It's an approachable brand that many would argue has great growth potential, given their household name and iconic lineup of models. From Martin Sheen's use of the "Captain Willard" in Apocalypse Now to Bruce Lee's Seiko chronograph, now nicknamed after him, these pieces have seen the limelight in Hollywood and documented military use in Vietnam and beyond. 

This particular "Captain Willard" ref. 6105-8110 was produced in February of 1977. Finding any "Willard" in this clean of condition is getting harder as the years pass and we could not pass up on its attractive dial/hands and unpolished case. Its tough to beat the charm and brutalist design of these pieces in the vintage space. This example was also recently overhauled so it is truly ready to go for its next chapter of adventure. 

Dial: Gorgeous preservation with clean lume plots and no notable blemishes under magnification. Bezel insert: Very light signs of use. Hands: Are matching. Extremely clean lume that matches the dial perfectly. Even the "stop light" is present in the seconds hand. Case: Extremely sharp. Appears unpolished and nicely preserved. Etching on back is still deep and visible. Correct signed crown. Bracelet: Uncle Seiko tropic strap in black. Crystal: Clear. Accessories: None. All functions of the watch operate flawlessly. The movement was recently serviced. It is running well on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
