Seiko Field Master "Contra" With Compass - Ref. 1421-014A - Very Rare - 1983
- Unit price
This is a very rare OD green Seiko Fieldmaster “Contra" is dated back to April of 1983. Nicknamed the “Contra” after the US-backed rebel conflict in Nicaragua from 1979 to the early 1990s, these watches are said to have been used by the Nicaraguan Democratic Force to fight the Marxist Sandinista Junta. Within beats the iconic Seiko H558 quartz movement, found in the “Arnie” and “The Predator” watches. If you’re looking for a historically important, communist-fighting icon from the golden era of Seiko’s catalog. Look no further.
