Vintage Seiko has a deeply passionate fan base from entry-level to even the most experienced collectors. It's an approachable brand that many would argue has great growth potential, given their household name and iconic lineup of models. From Martin Sheen's use of the "Captain Willard" in Apocalypse Now to Bruce Lee's Seiko chronograph, now nicknamed after him, these pieces have seen the limelight in Hollywood and documented military use in Vietnam and beyond. 

The reference 6105-8000 was only the second diver offered by Seiko after their 62MAS. It also proceeded the large 44mm cased "Captain Willard," which Martin Sheen famously wore. Sandwiched between those two models which have exploded in popularity, this reference arguably provides more value. It shares same dial DNA as the first Seiko diver and a benefit of a more practical 41mm case, hence the nickname "Slim Willard." Produced in July 1970, this United States market piece boasts a beautifully sharp and unpolished case and easily the best dial/hand preservation we've seen in this reference. If you're looking for an understated, yet iconic and rugged tool watch, this could be the perfect companion for your next adventure. 

Dial: Absolutely incredible and mint. This is the cleanest dial example we've been able to find in this reference. Bezel insert: Light wear consistent with age. There is a dent on the left edge, as well as upper edge. We think it adds to the rugged character of the piece. Luminous pearl at 12 still present. Hands: Are matching. Extremely clean lume that matches the dial perfectly. Even the "stop light" is present in the seconds hand. Case: Extremely sharp. Appears unpolished and nicely preserved. Etching on back is still deep and visible. Correct signed crown. Bracelet: Phoenix NATO-style strap in black. Crystal: Clear. It is a service replacement. Accessories: None. All functions of the watch operate flawlessly. The movement is running well on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
