In 2022 Tudor's new Pelagos 39 was one of the Swiss watch industries most well received novelties. While other Black Bay models have harked back to earlier "Snowflake" Submariner models, this piece is arguably its closest reiteration yet which is a welcome addition for vintage enthusiasts. The advent of titanium is also a fantastic update, making the new reference feel light, ergonomic and stealthy with its grey tone. This all adds up to a package that's not only fantastic on wrist but hugely practical and potentially one of the best dive watches produced in the modern era. This particular example has remained in near mint condition with only the lightest signs of use and comes with its boxes, warranty card and booklets.

This particular piece has been modified by True Patina only with regards to its case finish. The entire watch was professionally disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned so the case and bracelet could be anodized to this beautiful blue and "rainbow" colored clasp. This process is done through an electrolytic bath, bringing temperatures up to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. Other specific temperatures can create an array of of colors seen on the clasp from purple to copper and even green at its highest temp. We love this effect, particularly the crown guard area which is a nod to how some vintage pieces patina more in that area, likely due to it being a more frequent point of contact. True Patina states "More than just a color change, the titanium oxide layer is increasingly hypoallergenic, more corrosion-resistant, and 2-3 times harder than raw titanium, making your watch more resistant to surface scratches."
