Tudor was founded in 1926 by the same founder as Rolex—Hans Wilsdorf. The brand was created in order to offer the same high quality that Rolex is known for at a more affordable price point. This was accomplished by leveraging their famous Oyster-style Rolex cases to house mass produced ETA, Valjoux and other third party calibers.
