Tudor Submariner Date Blue 9411/0 - "Winter Lilac" - *Unpolished*

We love the Rolex Submariner for its connection to so many facets of history from Hollywood film icons like James Bond, real world applications like the British Military, down to everyday use cases as a "desk diver." One might argue its an essential piece to own or at least experience for part of ones collecting journey. The Submariner has now reached such an iconic level that collectors may or may not feel different towards wearing something so recognizable. This brings us to the Tudor Submariner or what's commonly referred to as the "Snowflake." The striking and purpose built design of this model shares the same DNA as its Rolex cousin but is much less commonly seen in the wild. It also shares some incredible history with the Milsub in that some examples were modified for military use and issued to the French, Canadian Navy amongst more. If you're looking for something in the Rolex family that's shrouded with history but a bit off the beaten path, Tudor could be the answer.
This Tudor "Snowflake" submariner is by far the most attractive we've come across to date and displays patina in all the right places. The dial and hands show warm and even matching color, unlike some examples which remain more stark and white in appearance. The dial is extremely well preserved and on par with the incredible faded insert that goes from "lilac" to grey and lavender depending on light conditions. Between the sharp and unpolished looking case/bracelet, undoubtedly desirable aging of this piece overall, its a tough example to pass up for even the most discerning of vintage collectors.
