One of the oldest watchmaking companies, Vacheron was founded in 1755 in Geneva, Switzerland. As part of the "Holy Trinity," along with Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, VC is known for their high-quality and unique design language. Even today, however, the brand remains relatively under-appreciated considering their significant contribution to horology.

On offer is a rare Calatrava ref. 6394 housed in white gold. Its 36mm stepped case features hand-engraved textured finish contrast to its silver sunburst dial. The dial shows VC's classic Maltese cross above its signature and beveled baton indices, pairing to dauphine hands. This piece houses an automatic Geneva Seal certified JLC cal. 1071. Remaining in beautiful vintage condition, this example boasts a well-preserved dial with minimal wear. The case has seen some light polishing but retains thick lugs and the hallmarks are still visible. It included an 18k VC signed pin buckle, VC strap and archive extract confirming a 1962 production date, adding to its provenance. For any collector looking for a high-grade and "true vintage" dress watch that's practical the automatic movement and screw down caseback make this a practical and compelling option.

Dial: Is excellent for its age. There are some small areas of wear from time visible in the macro shots but nothing distracting, especially to the naked eye. Hands: Are matching.
