One of the oldest watchmaking companies, Vacheron was founded in 1755 in Geneva, Switzerland. As part of the "Holy Trinity," along with Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, VC is known for their high-quality and unique design language. Even today, however, the brand remains relatively under-appreciated considering their significant contribution to horology.

On offer is a "Calatrava" style dress watch ref. 4073, circa 1950s that is housed in 18k pink gold. For anyone who appreciates the purity and importance of the Patek Philippe ref. 96 but finds it either too expensive or too small, this 33mm case lends well to medium sized wrists and feels equally well made. This particular example has remained in stunning vintage condition with a clean dial retaining a well preserved enamel signature. The case is also excellent with evenly proportioned lugs showing a crisp hallmark. This is without a doubt one of the most attractive VC dress watches we've had in stock and just a joy to behold in the metal. An archive extract is on order and will be provided to the new owner.

Dial: Very well preserved for its age with no distracting wear. The raised enamel signature is still prominent and clearly visible. Bezel: Remains sharp with light signs of use. Hands: Are matching. Case: Retains sharp edges and very light wear. It retains a crisp hallmark and the lugs remain even in proportion. Unsigned crown appears correct. Bracelet: Two piece grained leather strap in burgundy with generic rose plated pin buckle. Crystal: Clear. Accessories: An archive extract is on order and will be provided to the new owner.
