One of the oldest watchmaking companies, Vacheron was founded in 1755 in Geneva, Switzerland. As part of the "Holy Trinity," along with Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, VC is known for their high-quality and unique design language. Even today, however, the brand remains relatively under-appreciated considering their significant contribution to horology.

This VC Calatrava style dress watch is from the Les Historiques collection, circa 1990s. It is inspired by an uncommon vintage model which notably featured a "top winder" movement with crown at noon. This piece houses a high grade manual winding VC cal. 1014. The dial is an interesting mix of guilloché, applied Roman indices and a sub-seconds register at 3 o-clock. Remaining in excellent condition, the dial shows no notable wear and the case is equally impressive appearing unpolished with crisp markings and light signs of use. For anyone looking for a high quality yet practical and off the beaten path dress watch, this could be just the ticket.

Dial: Fantastic with no notable wear. Bezel: Very light signs of use. There is a small ding near the lower right lug but it is very minimal. Hands: Are matching. Case: Appears unpolished with rosy patina throughout. The hallmarks are deep and crisp and the lugs are thick and evenly proportioned. Light signs of use overall. Correct crown.
