Part of the "holy trinity," Vacheron Constantin is known for its exceptional quality in watchmaking, on par with Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet. VC was founded in 1755 by Jean-Marc Vacheron who is credited with creating the first complication in high-horology. Today VC is the oldest continuously operating watchmaker. In the modern era, Vacheron Constantin may be best suited for understated collectors, since their designs are not overplayed by fashion houses and market hype.
Introduced in 1998, the Chambellan ref. 43039 was a limited edition release to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the cal. 1120 and is displayed prominently in its case with a decorated rotor.
