This Zenith Calatrava dates to circa 1949-1950 and features a silver dial that has taken on a gorgeous and even brown tropical patina we've coined as "butterscotch." The blued hands pop beautifully against the dial which includes a small-seconds register. Finally, the stainless steel case on this piece stands out as phenomenally sharp for its age. This is a very charming piece with desirable aging that would catch the attention of any vintage connoisseur.

CONDITION REPORT

Dial: The originally silver sunburst dial has aged into a stunning tropical brown. There are some small age spots, particularly on the far upper left near 10 o-clock and in the middle right by 3 o-clock but they don't deter from its beauty, overall very nicely preserved. The radium numerals are all full and have aged into an attractive tone.

Hands: All luminous material is present and has aged evenly into a beautiful dark patina.

Case: Appears very sharp and potentially unpolished. The lugs are even in proportion. Engravings on back are crisp and clear. Unsigned crown appears correct.

Crystal: Clear.
